

Bailey King, MSW, LMSW

Bailey King recently joined the University of South Carolina College of Social Work as a Program Coordinator in July 2018. Ms. King provides overall program coordination, including project and database management, writing, editing, publication archiving, day-to-day operations, tracking grant deliverables, and budget monitoring. She also supports project strategy implementation, communications management, measurement and evaluation, and serves as project liaison.
Ms. King completed internships at the Metropolitan Children’s Advocacy Center and the Palmetto Health/USC Medical Group Immunology Center, where she gained valuable experience participating on diverse interprofessional teams that ensured clients received quality, holistic service. King has also worked on externally funded projects with Dr. Teri Browne, Dr. Melissa Reitmeier, Dr. Aidyn Iachini, and Dr. Dana DeHart, including a recent partnership with the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) to explore the literature on Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder. Additionally, Ms. King’s research interests includes rural health workforce, behavioral health programs and services, health information accessibility, social work education, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Ms. King received her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina College of Social Work and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Wofford College.
