Bryce Kananowicz, MSW, Ph.D. Clinical Psychology Student

Program Coordinator, University of South Carolina College of Social Work

Bryce Kananowicz recently joined the University of South Carolina College of Social Work as a Program Coordinator in December 2022. Kananowicz provides overall program coordination, including project and database management, writing, editing, publication archiving, day-to-day operations, tracking grant deliverables, and budget monitoring. Kananowicz also supports project strategy implementation, communications management, measurement and evaluation, and serves as project liaison.

Kananowicz completed internships at the Babcock Center, USC Student Health Services, and at Carolina Behavioral Therapy, where he gained valuable experience participating on diverse interprofessional teams that ensured clients received quality, holistic service. Kananowicz has also worked on externally funded projects with Dr. Teri Browne, Dr. Melissa Reitmeier, Dr. Aidyn Iachini, and Dr. Dana DeHart in the past, which allowed a smooth transition to the project. Additionally, Kananowicz is interested in researching dissemination and implementation in MUA (medically underserved areas, i.e., rural communities) and MUPs (medically underserved populations), behavioral health programs and services, externalizing behaviors in children/adolescents, as well as prescriptive authority in the field of psychology.

Kananowicz received his Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, College of Social Work. Kananowicz was a student athlete, and competed as a swimmer, while also receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina as well as minors in Sport and Entertainment Management as well as Counseling Education.
