Online Modules

Our Team Has Developed Modules That Focus on Specific Topics Relating to Rural Health Practice Issues and Skills.

These modules consist of materials from the South Carolina Office on Rural Health, best practice information about rural health service delivery and interprofessional teamwork, and case studies about interprofessional rural healthcare.

Module topics include:

  • Introduction to Rural Practice

  • Rural School-Based Behavioral Health

  • Rural Health and Primary Care

  • Rural Behavioral Health Care

  • Ethics in Rural Setting

These modules were primarily created for asynchronous online delivery to students at the College of Social Work to be used in a seminar class on integrated health care and a new interprofessional course that will be created on tele-mental health in rural areas. However, the modules and supplemental materials have been published here to ensure that the material may be continuously updated, refined and delivered to community partners. Our team also plans to submit these modules to the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education and Council of Social Work Education for national dissemination.
